Review of Last Tango in Paris (1972) by Jack G — 01 Dec 2008
Brando being Brando in perhaps his pinnacle performance.
Bertolucci holding nothing back in what might still be the most disturbing piece of pretentious/naturalistic fiction ever concieved, and (with Storaro) in compositional excellence, and a truly great musical score.
Dated? a little. but if you don't feel moved by Paul's monologue at his wife's corpse, you shouldn't watch movies.
