Review of Last Tango in Paris (1972) by Kevin L — 01 Feb 2009
I remember the whispers about this film before the screening. The film overturned my expectations. No titilation, a desert of joy, and fragmented images on the lonliness, brutality and despair of human existence were all that was left in the wake of this film.
The shocks and offenses of this film loom tall over the the pleasures, but I recommend it highly to a mature audience. Not likely, though, that you'll wish to view it again and again.
