Review of Last Tango in Paris (1972) by Darrell H — 17 Feb 2009
The reason for the X-rating is because of only two scenes that are not so much explicit as they are just graphic. I mean there is little doubt about what is going on but the taboo acts are still hidden.
What is shocking about this film is how women are treated throughout the whole thing. Brando moans and whines the whole film while the female lead just puts up with being objectified. Not a classic by any means, just controversial on some levels.
