Review of Last Tango in Paris (1972) by Tomek S — 06 Aug 2009
A poetic and multilayer film for at least a few watches. It looks into social relations and the relationship between a man and a woman and tries to deconstruct them a bit. It was somehow similar to Kieslowski's "Bleu" by showing the masculine way (here, full of obscene sex, brutality etc, in Lacanian terms, being deep in the sphere of the Real) of coming back to social life after a loss.
