Review of Last Tango in Paris (1972) by James K — 10 Dec 2010
I'm not quite sure if the theme of this film went over my head, but aside from very good performances from the two lead actors, Brando and Schneider, I found the story to be unimaginative garbage that was just used to cause controversy and sexually exploit its lead actress.
Bertolucci's "The Dreamers," was just as sexually explicit, maybe even more so, but its plot was more artistic and had more meaning. I do not recommend this film. 2 stars for great acting.
That's about it.
