Remarkably professional for an independent film. The Billy Jack films were important to my college film school years. The Tomatometer for Billy Jack is 62% and audience ratings is 63%. Perhaps the Tomatometer indicates common factors other that critical taste? As a filmmaker, I respected Tom Laughlin's very unpolished work.
The message I got from Billy Jack, however, was completely different than the one I think Laughlin intended, which is similar to what I got from this film - we must stand for freedom with our last ounce of courage and "last full measure of devotion".
