Review of Last Night (2010) by Dawdlingpoet — 28 Nov 2021

To me, this seemed a somewhat predictable film, in terms of the plot development. I thought it must surely be based on a play but when I looked it up online, it seems it isn't (or its not mentioned on IMDB in any case).

The performances are ok but its not exactly a memorable, certainly not a stand out, film and overall I'd say its ok but no more. I wouldn't go out of your way to see this, perhaps unless your a particularly big fan of Keira Knightley perhaps.

Eva Mendes is ok in it too but there's little else that especially appealed to me. Its very much a film that I felt was/is aimed at upper middle class people, which is centered on morality. It made me think somewhat of the film Closer, starring Jude Law.

Its not an awful film as such but its just not particularly...good either, so I wouldn't especially recommend it as such, no.
