Elements of this were outstanding but it felt it was trying to hard to adapt itself into becoming Yojimbo to be effective on its own. No new material besides the gangster angle and the humor that attends Mifune's character in the original is surprisingly absent.
Bruce Willis just trying to be cool isnt as effective but some parts are just insane enough to work. lol, I think he takes out like 10 guys with those Colts @ the poker table.
