Bruce Willis is always at his best when he's getting his ass kicked and shooting everything in sight. And Christopher Walken is, well, christopher Walken. But there's a difference between homage and rip-off, and this leans toward the latter.

Last Man standing is a watered down version of A Fistful of Dollars, which was a westernized masterpiece of the classic Yojimbo. Thus, inherently, it has stolen a brilliant plot, and has set it in a later era with more action, less subtlety, and less intelligence.

As a result of the further modernization, this movie has lost any soul the originals had, and has had to, somewhat successfully, rely on Walken and Willis to carry the film on their shoulders.
