Review of Last Man Standing (1995) by Mark N — 21 Apr 2012
Unapologetically gritty film that mixes cowboy saloon sensibilities with 30's mobsters. The taught tale inserts Willis as a whirlwind of self-serving destruction whose motives are left a mystery. So much reminded me of High Plains Drifter but without the mystical element the plot seemed hollow.
Fun for action / mobster fans but otherwise there is little to get to grips with.
