Review of Last Life in the Universe (2003) by Chris S — 17 May 2008
I really tried to like this film but this is one of those movies that try so hard to be artsy and confusing. There are some good scenes and camera shots but I pretty much hate the slow pace, the awfully dull moments, the unlikable characters and the ambiguous ending.
Having yakuzas, the Japanese mafia, in this kind of story is totally ridiculous and pretty much ruins the whole movie experience for me.
