It's fun, it's cute, it's got a good message, but it's not excellent. I do like several of the performances, though, especially that of Gerard Depardieu (who, in my book, is simply brilliant).
Even though it's lacking in real substance, and everything is very contrived, it's fun--it would be a good film for what my mom calls "electronic morphine" (as in, when you're recovering from surgery and you need to be distracted).
