It's refreshing to see a movie that does not depend on in-you-face gimmicks and on-the-edge-of-your-seat suspense. "The Last Flag Flying" unfolds gradually, just like real life does, but the depth, and quirkiness of the characters, along with hints of unanswered questions, grab the viewer who then settles down into the seat for the long haul because it is obvious there is a compelling story here.

The characters, dialogue and questions will stay with those who have seen this film.
