Review of Last Days in Vietnam (2014) by Richard D — 11 Jun 2015
A fascinating documentary covering the final North Vietnamese push on Saigon and the subsequent American evacuation efforts. A fairly balanced film that goes into quite a lot of depth about both the inaction at the top levels of the American government that lead to the evacuation being an almost entirely non-planned activity, but also going into detail about a lot of heroism and generosity from American embassy officials and servicemen which lead to hundreds and hundreds of South Vietnamese civilians safely evacuating the country.
