Gus Van Sant's minimalistic film predicated on the last days of Kurt Cobain. It's visually stunning and painstakingly crafted to such an artful extreme that as a result, most viewers will find it self indulgent and unrelentingly sluggish.
But to the true cinephile, it's a hypnotic film that explores major depressive disorder in poetic fashion.
