Review of Last Days (2004) by Ben M — 11 Jul 2007
I really like the slow pace to this movie, that and the quietness throughout. I can see why a lot of people would find it boring but that's because they aren't paying attention. It's a great study of a guy who has isolated himself from the world and is trapped in his head, slowly descending into madness.
We see everything from afar, which gives you the feeling that you are stalking him. There are even some shots where you are watching him through his window like a peeping tom. It's very subtle and it's very sad.
