Review of Last Days (2004) by Tor H — 05 Jan 2008
Second time around is much better. The film again shows Harris Savides' strength with its muted colours in the enchanted forests and the broken palace of Blake. The well composed shots echo the paintings hanged up on the walls of the mansion.
Kim Gordon rocks! with her blond hair and concerned look. Everything seems to be playing together now I watched it a second time. The touch of comedy in there (the Yellowpage guy, the Mormon twins, and even Asia Argento) gives a surreal feeling to the setting.
