Review of Last Days (2004) by Leanne S — 10 Sep 2008
Although many will hate this film I have to say I loved it. Last Days is more than a movie but rather a piece of art that delves into the anguish of a man on the brink of reality, in a world he no longer fits into. I don't feel it is based on the last days of Kurt Cobain as much as it is one man's idea of what those last days may have been. The techniques used with film, script (or lack of) and music create a sense of realism that I found fascinating. Michael Pitt was great in the role and I loved 'Birth to Death'.
Finally, although this is a fictional work I found it reignited many questions, thoughts & emotions that I hadn't felt for some years. If your world changed when Kurt died then I reccomend you give Last Days a go.
