Review of Last Chance Harvey (2008) by Linda S — 20 Jun 2009
Lightweight romantic flick for the middle-aged (and beyond). Dustin Hoffman and Emma Thompson are both charming in their socially awkward ways, but could play these roles in their sleep. The message is predictable -- make time for the things that matter, don't miss out on the opportunity for love -- and it's all a bit contrived.
Still, it's nice to have an understated romantic story about people who have some life experience.
