An enjoyable, sweet romantic comedy at the hands of Hoffman and Thompson. Brolin's performance was flat and demonstrated that he has never developed the range to move beyond television. The part really needed a great character actor as always is the case in simple story telling.

Also, the Holocaust bit was somewhat weird. It should have been developed a little more to be successful as running humor or replaced with a better representation of a lonely aging mother.
