Review of Last Chance Harvey (2008) by Nate D — 28 Dec 2009

There really wasn't much to this film, but it is very pleasing. This is the type of movie you site back, kick up your feet and enjoy with a glass of wine. It is very low key, but nice to watch. Dustin Hoffman was great.

His character was just a lonely guy who did things wrong in the past to lose his family. But now he is making up for lost time by going to his daughters wedding and meeting a new woman; played by Emma Thompson.

Emma Thompson's character is also having problems with loneliness, but for other reasons. Together instead of clashing, they get together very well. This is a nice little love story. And yes, even though it is a more relaxing movie, it will keep you watching.

The only thing is that some of the characters were off pudding and the movie seemed to be a little too short for my taste.
