Last Chance Harvey begins in a bleak, grey fashion. Dustin Hoffman is great as semi-successful but absent ex-husband and father. Struggling to hid his feelings of disappointment and obsolescence. The dynamic between Hoffman and Emma Thompson is smart and cheeky.
An interaction that reconfirms that romance will never die, and there is always hope for companionship.
