Review of Last Action Hero (1993) by Bugi P — 03 Mar 2010

This film was rated PG-13, meaning the film is not childish!! Although set in a fantasy world, but McTiernan should be able to demonstrate a more mature things in this movie. Look at this movie, powerful explosions, but a lot of stupid things that slipped by McTiernan here, especially the emergence of the cartoon detective, is very disturbing pleasure. Great action scene is indeed McTiernan style, but he should concerned about synergy theme of this movie. If he wants to get a R rating, just highlight the brutal violence in a fantasy world, unless he wants to get a PG rating, it only presents mild action, do not have to spit blood.

Ultimately, this film can seem awkward to present a spectacle worthy of consumption. It seems this is the greatest sin ever made McTiernan throughout his career, and also dragging Arnie brilliant career.
