Schwarzenegger plays a popular action hero named Jack Slater. Slater is the favorite movie hero of Danny, a kid with a habit of skipping school to sit in a decrepit movie theater. Danny is given a magic ticket and the movie comes to life, first pulling Danny into the film version of L.
A. and later spitting out Danny, Jack, and the movie's villains into real-world NYC... an interesting twist on the typical action movie.
