Critically torn apart by reviewers and cinemagoers alike when this massively budgeted film was first released back in 1993. It was meant to be the biggest and best blockbuster of the year, but Jurassic Park proved otherwise.
Instead this fell flat on its face and people still refuse to give it a chance. I'm different. This isn't as bad as most people would have you believe. Its original intention of lampooning action films while still remaining to be an action film does come through and there are many laughs and thrills.
Maybe be a slight misfire with some of the in-jokes, but at least it isn't as dull, fickle or drab as some of the action blockbusters you see today. This one at least tried to be different.
