Review of Last Action Hero (1993) by Andy O — 14 Mar 2014

This movie was critically panned at release, so for this reason I've always stayed away. Until now. Honestly, the critics baffle me at times, I mean ok it has issues, an annoying child, and there's plot holes galore, but I applaud the genuinely original plot and fun action sequences.

I even quite liked the bad guy, even though the final battle was a bit disappointing. The film is also incredibly self aware - which I suspect is a point that may have been missed at the time of release.
