Review of Lars and the Real Girl (2007) by E L — 28 Jul 2012
It could so easily have been a really bad, unfunny comedy about a guy and a doll, and a whole town who goes along with it. However thanks to a great script which was neither one-dimensional nor stupid, and Gosling and the cast, this was an unexpectedly touching and humanistic film about people and relationships.
