Review of Lars and the Real Girl (2007) by Roy S — 14 Oct 2012
This one really snuck up on me. I was expecting something at least slightly perverse, but instead got a very sweet yet not saccharin film. Mortimer and Gosling are always terrific, but the Lake Woebegone-like town is perhaps the most charming character of all, and Lars is very lucky to live in it.
