Review of Lars and the Real Girl (2007) by Susan P — 26 Jan 2013
Newly added to Netflix streaming, I've always loved this movie. It's so sweet and touching and funny and heartwarming, and not what you would expect given the plot synopsis. Gosling is brilliant, he improvised so many mannerisms and lines to the film.
It felt like a small town like the one I grew up in, and it's so great how they all get together and accept a member of their community and try to help him despite how wacky the situation is, they can find the humor in it, and end up unexpectedly being helped themselves.
Creative and sweet, highly recommend to most anyone.
