Review of Lars and the Real Girl (2007) by Jared S — 03 Sep 2013
A little dull and slow at times, but it has its moments. Ryan Gosling is incredibly funny as Lars, a delusional and socially awkward adult who orders a customized "love doll" off the internet and introduces her to many people he works with, lives with and goes to church with, as his girlfriend.
It's potentially a 3.5 or 4 star comedy, but after a while the direction of the movie falls short even though it's certainly entertaining.
