Review of Larry Crowne (2011) by Higor T — 23 Sep 2011
Slow at first, but it got interesting eventually. I thought there was some good chemistry between characters, and yes, it was primarily a feel good movie. A couple of lapses in logic but it's just a movie, people.
Saw it at the discount theater and one of the few movies where the audience remained seated for the ending credits, so I'd say it was well received. A movie with Hanks and Roberts, and it delivered.
I really was not disappointed. No violence, no bad language, and I felt I had been entertained and uplifted. What a novel feeling these days, especially when you consider the junk the cable companies represent to you as premium movies, especially HBO.
