Review of Larry Crowne (2011) by Jill S — 04 Jan 2012
Cute movie that genuinely portrays the reality of never being too old to start over, either by choice or by a forced hand that life has dealt you. Despite my love of both lead actors in this flick, I wasn't sold on the romantic chemistry between them.
Otherwise, Roberts delivers plenty of sassy and witty moments that made me chuckle while Hanks delivers many endearing moments that made his character quite adorable. The scooter 'gang' was weird and could have easily been left out of the movie; probably would have made the movie a bit more enjoyable too.
Overall, this is a cute flick but not one I will be finding myself watching over and over again.
