Review of Larry Crowne (2011) by Sandy K — 12 Mar 2012
I was so ready to like this -- Tom Hanks and Julia Roberts in an unlikely romance -- but even Hanks' charm couldn't overcome the weaknesses of the script (which he co-wrote). It seesawed in tone between silly and serious, and ended up being not enough of either.
The DVD's bonus feature showing the fun the actors/crew all had on the set was far more entertaining than the film itself.
