Review of L'Argent (1983) by Mark S — 01 Feb 2012
Man this is a bleak watch. Robert Bresson must have been in a very sombre mood in his old age. Loosely based on a story by Leo Tolstoy, this film shows the grim consequences of the persecution of a poor working class man, but this is a VERY extreme fictionalisation of what it can be like for people and the domino effect that can be caused by wrongdoings.
