Review of Lara Croft: Tomb Raider - The Cradle of Life (2003) by Toni S — 06 Aug 2010
An ancient disco ball commissioned by Alexander the Great containing a virtual reality map sends Lara Croft to Africa (by way of China) in search of Pandora's Box in this not so great follow-up to the first, fun Tomb Raider film.
While it's goofier than the first, it's far less fun. The stunts are well done, but poorly conceived. And there is very little magic or weirdness until the final act, when everything goes crazy.
I think Tomb Raider could have made a great Angelina Jolie franchise, but this second film misses the mark too often and people noticed.
