Review of Lara Croft: Tomb Raider (2001) by Gradhito O — 21 Nov 2013
Lara Croft is a great female character and role model. Inspired by Indiana Jones, James Bond and maybe Batman, Lara Croft has stamina, she is smart and sexy. The movie has a very interesting plot with Lara Croft looking for an ancient artifact against the Illuminati.
Having read the original script I have to say that the movie was going to be much better had Paramount aloud a two hours film. Angelina Jolie is the only Lara Croft not only looking the part but also sounding very English.
I wish the public took this film for what it is. It is a great action adventure movie, no different -if not better- than -some of the -Indiana Jones movies.
