Review of Lara Croft: Tomb Raider (2001) by Jason V — 23 May 2013
Heavily armed adventurer Lara Croft goes in search of an ancient relic. This is the big screen debut of a popular videogame character. However, it only feels like the beginning of a forgettable film franchise, unable to replicate the appeal of the game like so many other adaptations of the same type.
This one has a generic plot and a waste of some good casting, not only with Angelina Jolie as the titular character but also her real life father Jon Voight playing Lara Croft's father.
