Review of Lara Croft: Tomb Raider (2001) by Perk8J — 30 Mar 2021
Simon West’s Lara Croft Tomb Raider (2001) is based on the popular computer game by Core Design and Toby Gard originally released in 1996. Much like the game, the film is an edgier Raiders of the Lost Ark! Angelina Jolie went through rigorous training to provide all the stunt work to get into character.
Her performance and portrayal as Lara Croft is masterfully iconic! The exotic set pieces ranging from Cambodia ruins to Iceland caves are structured with impressive detail and scale. The stylish menu from the original DVD release is very immersive and is still probably the coolest of any DVD I’ve watched.
Additionally, the iTunes/ Blu-Ray/ and DVD release of Lara Croft Tomb Raider include extra behind the scenes and are all well worth watching.
