In the big scope of things, "Land of the Lost" is not an awful movie. It's not very good, but it's not completely unwatchable. The storyline, characters, sense of humor, and pretty much anything else that a script brings to the table are atrocious and unoriginal, but the film's unique visuals keep it entertaining.
I knew beforehand that I was about to watch a bad movie, but "Land of the Lost" is not nearly as bad as I thought it was, even though it was pretty bad.
