Review of Land of the Dead (2005) by Matt M — 23 May 2013
The last humans on earth are confined to walled cities as the zombies have taken over the world. Even with all the 9/11 influences, Land of the Dead feels unoriginal and lacks the motication which made the first living dead films by Romero ground breaking and influential.
It's all been seen time and time again, and it's even more disappointing to see a master of the genre return to familiar ground by playing it desperately safe.
