Review of Lakeview Terrace (2008) by Ryan T — 31 Jul 2009
Samuel L. Jackson gives a great performance that is exceptionally creepy and menacing in this otherwise unremarkable thriller that does a decent job of increasing the tension. But somewhere between the predicatable chain of events as the film goes on, the corny symbolism of an aproaching California wildfire and the fact that Patrick Wilson's hero is so flawed that he becomes kind of unlikable, the movie becomes a bit of a chore to finish watching.
