Review of Lakeview Terrace (2008) by Zachary M — 17 Oct 2016
We've all had people we can't stand to live near or with. From roommates, to family members, to neighbors. But what if the neighbor was a cop? Not just a cop, but a crooked violent racist cop? That's the problem facing the young couple in this movie. It's a living on a mine field and never knowing when things are going to blow up. Its hard line to follow and the tension builds fairly well.
Yet it still feels like a very slow drag in many places. It has good intensions, but the sum of the whole isn't as good as parts. If you take nothing else from this, be sure to place nice with your neighbors, you have to live with them.
