Review of Lake of Fire (2006) by Sarah P — 15 May 2008
A powerful, thought-provoking examination of the abortion issue in the United States, including many philosophic and religious viewpoints on both "sides"...frankly, I was quite disturbed and horrified by most of the anti-choice folks profiled, especially the Christian fundamentalist far-right extremist types (who unsurprisingly tend to also be disgustingly misogynistic, homophobic and racist), many of whom quite hypocritically condone (and promote, and enact!) violence against doctors and such!! Ugh, some of it will make you shudder and be truly frightened for the future of our country; it still amazes me that people can be so filled with hatred and intolerant, close-minded, ignorant dogma.
..and that unfortunately their forces are still very much on the rise, and we need to work more than ever to safeguard women's reproductive rights in the U.S.
