Review of Lake of Fire (2006) by Shaun M — 18 Aug 2009
In tackling one of the most divisive and complex subjects that human society has ever seen - abortion - Tony Kaye has crafted a sympathetic documentary that gives an unbiased treatment to both sides of the debate, and never escapes the grim reality of the situation by including real footage of abortions.
Despite a lengthy run time, this is a densely-packed film that delivers no easy solutions and evokes the tendancy for the abortion argument to become "black and white" through its beautiful monochrome cinematography.
