4/5 Although the retro aesthetic might not be perfectly executed (some shots seem quite modern, except with a filter put over it) Lake Nowhere is a very enjoyable experience. The cliches don't feel like a hindrance, the violence is plenty of fun and it never overstays its welcome.

This is a get in, get out experience that knows what it wants to pull off and doesn't allow room for filler (although this also means there's next to no character development - but does that really matter?).

Overall I simply had a great time watching it.
