Review of Lake Mungo (2009) by Andrew R — 30 Jul 2017
Creepy, atmospheric fake documentary about a family dealing with the loss of their daughter. It's structured like a talking heads documentary mixed with a bit of amateur paranormal investigation and found footage.
What really sells it is the understated, believable performances from the actors playing as the family members. That combined with smart sound design make for an unsettling experience that you can immerse yourself into.
