Review of Laid to Rest (2009) by Brice M — 23 Aug 2009
** (out of four).
I do have some respect for what writer/director Robert Hall has been able to do, which is create a fairly scary and bloodsoaked new horror film. But, there must be something that makes the experience worth watching and most of that is overwhelmed by the blood.
A young woman wakes up in a coffin. She escapes, but is relentlessly pursued by a killer wearing a Chrome-Skulled mask.
Fans of immense gory will be in fangora-heaven. While I like horror films, I do like ones that offer a little bit more subtlety.
