"Earns a comfortable spot next to Hatchet, Cold Prey, and Behind the Mask as a basic but sincere 'love letter' to the best of the '80s horror flicks." Doesn't have the humor of those three, they spent the budget on gore effects, not writing.
The mute, death-proof killer has been done to death. A chrome and cam fetish helps little to set ChromeSkull apart. Hopefully the second one is better. Heady is a nice surprise though.
