Review of Laid to Rest (2009) by Stef B — 07 Jul 2009
The pacing of the story goes along with the main character's awareness, which actually adds to the creepiness. The score works well, and the supporting characters are real people, which helps this whole film be a little bit more than your typical slasher flick. The ending is a little weird, though.
A girl wakes up in a coffin with no memory of who she is, where she is, or how she got there. As she attempts to escape the funeral home, she is accosted by a man wearing a chrome skull mask, wielding a video camera and a knife. She barely escapes and the chase begins - two actually. One for her to remember what the hell is going on and to escape the strangely silent Chrome Skull!
