Review of Laggies (2014) by Mostafa A — 04 Feb 2015
I like Keira Knightly, and Sam Rockwell is always fun to watch, so when I saw both were in this movie, I gave it a go. Not bad for what it is. Knightly is 20 something, educated, not really employed and lost...as in, she has no idea what she wants to do with her life. Her friends have all moved on into the bigboy stage of life, getting married, kids, etc., and she still hangs out with them but she doesn't fit in...and it's obvious to everyone. Her high school boyfriend proposes to her at her friends wedding and she...runs...literally and figuratively. The rest of the movie is about her confronting what's holding her back from moving forward.
It is a comedy of sorts...and romance of sorts...but really a life story. If you like either of the actors, it's well worth a watch.
